Position summary
The Cook/Café Manager helps create menu items, cook delicious meals and snacks and serve Mark Edwards Group’s 150 head office employees.
Tasks:
-Prepare meals for staff (breakfast, lunch and snacks)
-Process sales using the cash register and the employee tab system
-Prepare food displays
-Anticipate customers’ needs and plan accordingly
-Planning the meals of the week, create grocery lists and order ingredients accordingly
-Send out the weekly menu to all staff members
-Ensure that the café is a safe, clean and healthy environment at all times
-Provide excellent customer service to all customers
-Adhere to COVID-19 sanitary measures
Qualifications:
-Bilingual (French and English)
-Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a kitchen
-Aware of sanitation regulations in kitchens
-Passionate about cooking and serving food
-Able to work in a fast-paced environment
-Available to work early morning shifts to prepare for breakfast (Monday to Friday)
