HOSTESS/HOTESSE (DOWNTOWN MTL)
Reuben's Restaurant (888 Sainte-Catherine W. Montreal) is currently seeking versatile hostesses. Full/Part Time Position. Previous experience in the restaurant industry necessary.
Necessary Availability: Days, Nights and Weekends
Description of Job
The hostess greets the customers at the door and performs various tasks to assist the dining room employees.
Main functions
*Greets the customers, presents the menu, makes suggestions and answers
questions about food and beverages.
*Applies sales techniques to promote items on the menu.
*Maintains the dining room menus.
*Takes phone reservations.
*Operates POS, if necessary
*Assists wait staff (i.e. serving plates, filling water glasses, assist with clearing and setting up tables)
*Demonstrates a professional appearance.
*Ensures work area is always tidy.
*Executes all other tasks as requested by the supervisor
Requirements:
Interpersonal skills, facility with meeting people, teamwork, collaboration, adaptability and good verbal communication and listening skills are required. Bilingualism required (Spanish an asset). Good personal grooming, confidence, ability to manage stress, dynamism and flexibility are required.
