Senior Line Cook / Kitchen Leader
Salary: (based on experience) + performance bonus + advancement opportunities
Bayrut, one of Montreal’s premier authentic Lebanese restaurants located in the heart of Old Montreal, is looking for an experienced Senior Line Cook / Kitchen Leader to join our growing team.
This is more than a line cook position. We’re looking for a motivated culinary professional who can lead by example, maintain exceptional food quality, and help oversee kitchen operations during service. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager role as Bayrut continues to expand.
Responsibilities
Prepare and execute dishes to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Lead the kitchen team during service and ensure smooth operations.
Train and mentor junior cooks.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation.
Assist with inventory, ordering, and stock rotation.
Maintain MAPAQ food safety and sanitation standards.
Work closely with the Executive Chef and ownership to improve kitchen efficiency.
Help maintain a positive, respectful, and professional kitchen culture.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience.
Previous experience in a leadership role such as Lead Line Cook, Senior Line Cook, or Sous Chef is considered a strong asset.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
Passion for quality food and teamwork.
Legal authorization to work in Canada.
