Terrasses Bonsecours (Bistro, in the Old Port of Montreal) is actively looking for enthusiastic, competent and hard working candidates to fill the positions of line-cooks, and prep for its Summer Season 2019! Extremely fast paced environment, good salary for the market.
Starting date: anytime from now
Main functions :
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Cook food in various utensils or grillers
Check food while cooking to stir or turn
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Skills required:
Experience is a must;
-Strong interest in teamwork;
-reliable;
-honest;
-punctual ;
-Attention to detail;
-Ability to respond and excel under pressure;
-Ability to work long hours;
-Solid sense of organization;
-Availability ;
-Good working knowledge of French and English;
-Hygiene education program and food safety an asset;
