Position summary: The Assistant Café Manager works closely with the James Perse Store Manager and head chef to ensure that the daily café operations run smoothly. The Assistant Café Manager leads by example and offers excellent knowledge of the products we sell as well as the brand.

·Manage and supervise the team to deliver excellent service to all our customers
·Prepare drinks as per ordered by customers
·Operate the patio logistics
·Work with 3rd party delivery applications to manage off-site orders
·Maximize business development by providing excellent service and product knowledge
·Ensure that all employees respect company policies and report any issues to the general manager
·Maintain the café floor and standards
·Manage customer flow and ensure that all customers are seated and assigned a server
·Resolve any customer issues, should they arise
·Enforce company policies regarding loss prevention and security measures
·Recruit and train new employees
·Support general manager, head chef and café servers by assisting in their daily tasks (taking customer orders, serving customers, cleaning, etc.)
·Open and close the café
·Schedule the team and manage a budget of hours
·Submit payroll bi-weekly
·Oversee all supply orders and invoicing
·Forecast upcoming needs for the café
·Represent the James Perse brand image through excellent customer service standards

·1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
·Willing to learn about coffee, food items, luxury brands and the importance of exceptional customer service
·Bilingual (French & English)
·Outgoing, positive and friendly demeanor
·Physical requirements: able stand for long periods of time, climb stairs multiple times a day, lift and move boxes up to 35 lbs. (16 kg).
