VEGAN KITCHEN ASSISTANT

The company includes a restaurant, retail store, central kitchen and distribution facility.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

A Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team in a long-term capacity to work in our production department. Reporting to the kitchen manager, the kitchen assistant will participate in the preparation and packaging of our various products using a variety of equipment, machinery and methods. We are looking to fill a full-time position of 35-40 hours per week.

WHAT IS THE JOB?

Participating in a variety of tasks that include:
Peeling and shredding fruits and vegetables
Juicing fruits and vegetables
Cutting fruits, vegetables and proteins
Weighing and scaling ingredients
Labelling sauce bottles
Piston filling sauce bottles and containers
Portioning and packaging
Preparing simple recipes
Monitoring cooking times
Maintaining and following quality standards
Cleaning workstations and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in a kitchen considered an asset
Have a strong work ethic, reliable and committed to your team
Ability to perform basic math
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to lift up to 25kg and stand the entire shift
Ability to learn quickly
Food handler certificate considered an asset
